LORIC Building

In addition to our main services, we are proud to offer both hotdesking space and meeting space to our local businesses. We are dedicated to making your visit as pleasant as possible.

To ensure that everyone who comes to the LORIC building is looked after, we have put together some key information for all visitors and event organisers.

How To Find Us

The LORIC building is a 10 minute walk from Bishop Grossteste University’s main campus, near the Newport Arch, on 23 Newport, LN1 3DN.

  • The nearest bus stop to LORIC is BBC Radio Lincolnshire for lines 103, 7, 8, 17. Link to County Council maps.
  • Alternative bus stops are Cecil Street (for lines 3, 7, 17, A8, CT1) and the Assembly Rooms (for lines WR, CT1).
  • We have a bike store toward the back of the building.
  • The nearest train station is Lincoln Central.

Opening Hours

The LORIC building is open 8.30-5.00 Monday to Thursday and 8.30-4.30 on Friday. The building is not open on weekends and bank holidays.
Unless alternative arrangements have been made, the building and front gate will be locked at the stated times.

All visitors and staff are expected to register upon entering and exiting the building. This is done to ensure Health and Safety in the case of an emergency, as well as to keep track of the vehicles in the building parking lot.

There is limited onsite parking available at the LORIC building. There are two dedicated disabled bays and two charging points for electric vehicles.
All visitors are advised to register their vehicles upon arrival, unless they have a staff or student pass.

In the event that there is no space in our building, alternative parking can be found at Westgate (LN1 3BG). Please be aware that charges will apply.

Building Accessibility

The building has level access, disabled toilets on the ground floor, and a lift. There is no hearing loop available. All rooms are carpeted and have soft furnishings.

Visitors with specific accessibility needs are advised to get in touch in advance with their event organiser to make appropriate arrangements.

All toilets in the building are unisex.

All catering is organised by the event managers. If you are attending an event held by an external company in the LORIC building, please get in touch with them directly to enquire about options and allergens.

If you are using the building for hot-desking, there are limited tea and coffee making facilities available.
